How much does it actually cost to rent an entire hotel or resort exclusively for your event?
Whether you are planning an incentive trip, corporate event, wedding, private celebration or exclusive retreat, a full resort buyout offers something that is difficult to achieve in a conventional hotel: privacy, exclusivity and an experience designed entirely around your guests.
But one of the first questions event planners ask is:
How much does a resort buyout cost?
The answer can range from around €1,500 to more than €200,000 per night, depending on the size, location, category, season and services included.
The current RENT-A-RESORT® RESORT COLLECTION illustrates just how wide this range can be.
Resort buyout prices: From €1,500 to more than €200,000 per night
The RENT-A-RESORT® RESORT COLLECTION features a wide range of exclusive hotels, resorts, cruises and private islands.
At the lower end, exclusive buyouts of smaller boutique hotels and retreats can start at around €1,500 per night.
For example, BelleTorre Mayorazgo in Spain, with 12 rooms, is available from €1,500 per night, including accommodation and breakfast.
At the other end of the spectrum are large luxury resorts and private islands.
The Event Beach Resort Guanacaste 5* in Costa Rica, with 310 rooms, is listed from US$225,000 per night, including All Inclusive.
This shows why there is no standard price for a resort buyout.
The right price depends on the right venue, the right dates and the requirements of your event.

What determines the cost of a resort buyout?
The number of rooms is only one part of the equation.
1. Number of rooms
The larger the resort, the higher the total buyout price will generally be.
However, a 100-room resort is not necessarily more expensive than a 30-room luxury property.
The category, facilities, location and services included can make a significant difference.
2. Destination
A private island in the Caribbean or Indian Ocean follows a very different pricing structure from a countryside retreat in Germany or a boutique resort in Southern Europe.
Accessibility and logistics can also have a major impact on the overall event budget.
3. Food & Beverage
When comparing buyout prices, it is important to look at what is included.
The RENT-A-RESORT® RESORT COLLECTION includes properties offering different board options, such as:
- Accommodation only
- Bed & Breakfast
- Half Board
- Full Board
- All Inclusive
A €30,000 buyout with breakfast included cannot be directly compared with a €30,000 buyout including All Inclusive.
Always look beyond the headline price.
4. Season & Travel Dates
The prices shown in the RENT-A-RESORT® RESORT COLLECTION are starting prices.
The actual price can vary depending on the season, travel dates, availability and length of stay.
For popular destinations and peak periods, early planning can make a significant difference.
5. Your event requirements
An exclusive resort for 40 guests has completely different requirements from a corporate event for 300 guests.
When selecting a venue, you should consider:
- Number of guests
- Number of nights
- Required room configuration
- Event and meeting spaces
- Food & beverage requirements
- Activities and experiences
- Privacy and exclusivity
- Technical requirements
- Destination and accessibility
What does a resort buyout cost for a corporate event?
For corporate events and incentives, the accommodation cost is only one part of the overall budget.
Depending on the event, additional costs may include:
Event production · AV & technology · entertainment · transfers · activities · additional F&B · decoration · meeting rooms · branding · external suppliers
This is why the cheapest buyout price does not necessarily mean the lowest overall event cost.
The most important question is:
What offers the best overall fit for your event and your budget?
Boutique retreat or large resort?
A complete buyout can work for very different group sizes.
For smaller groups, boutique hotels, private villas, country houses and exclusive retreats can offer an intimate setting.
For larger corporate events and incentive programmes, resorts with 100, 200 or even 500+ rooms can provide the space and infrastructure required.
The RENT-A-RESORT® RESORT COLLECTION reflects this diversity – from small properties with just a handful of rooms to large resorts accommodating several hundred guests.
So, What Budget Should You Plan For?
Based on the current RENT-A-RESORT® RESORT COLLECTION, exclusive buyout prices range from approximately:
€1,500 to more than €200,000 per night
These are starting prices for the different hotels, resorts and private islands in our collection – not a general market price range.
An added advantage: RENT-A-RESORT® has already negotiated the rates and conditions with its partner properties. You benefit from pre-negotiated offers without having to start the negotiation process from scratch.
The final price depends on your dates, group size and requirements.
